CITY OF CLAREMONT: Armed Robbery Arrest

City of Claremont issued the following announcement.

On December 27, 2020, at approximately 1:18 PM, Claremont Police Officers responded to the area of First St. and Indian Hill Bl., regarding a report of an armed robbery. The two 

suspects and the victim agreed to meet at the location for an Offer-Up sale. During the transaction, the suspects brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s property. The 

victim complied with the suspect’s demands and the suspects fled to an awaiting vehicle driven by a third suspect. A description of the suspects and their vehicle were provided to 

the responding officers. On December 28, 2020, through investigative means, a suspect vehicle was identified. Claremont Police Department Detectives and LA Impact Group 25 

Detectives conducted surveillance at a residence in the 1400 block of East Holt Bl., in Pomona. At about 2:00 PM, detectives observed two suspects enter the suspect vehicle. A 

traffic stop was initiated on the suspect vehicle near the location. Evidence was located inside the suspect vehicle connecting the occupants to the robbery. Both suspects, 17 

year old males from Pomona, were arrested without incident for robbery. A search warrant was later executed at the suspect’s residence in the 1400 block of East Holt Bl., in 

Pomona. Additional evidence was located inside the residence in  connection to the robbery and the victim’s property was also located. A third suspect, a 15 year-old male from 

Pomona was also arrested during the execution of the search warrant in connection to the robbery. All three juveniles were booked into the Claremont Police Department Jail. One 

of the juveniles was released into the custody of their parent/guardian with a citation, the second juvenile was transported to the Central Juvenile Hall facility in Eastlake, where he 

is being held for court and the third juvenile was released pending further investigation. If you have any additional information related to the case, please contact the Claremont
