City of Claremont issued the following announcement.
City offices, including City Hall, the Hughes Center, and the City Yard, will be closed from Thursday, December 24 through Sunday, January 3, 2021. Essential City services and
emergency services will continue to operate during the closure
Sanitation services will continue during the City’s holiday closure, including daily trash, recycling, and green waste collection. Since Christmas Day and New Year’s Day both fall on
a Friday, trash pick-up will not be disrupted. Between December 24 and December 31, bin rentals and bulk item collection will be available; however, arrangements must be made
prior to the holiday closure. To schedule these services, please contact the Community Services Department at (909) 399-5431 on or before December 23 to be added to the
schedule. All other requests to schedule services will be handled after January 4, 2021.
The holiday tree recycling program will begin on January 4 and will run through January 15, 2021. All ornaments, lights, tinsel, and stands. need to be removed prior to pick-up.
Residents can place the bare tree at the curb by 6 a.m. on their regular refuse collection day. Trees over 6 feet tall must be cut in half. For more information, please contact
