84.6% of Sierra County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 3,079 citizens living in Sierra County in 2021, 84.6% were old enough to vote, equating to 2,604 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 1,195 were male, constituting 45.9%, and 1,409 were female, making up 54.1%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Sierra County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.2%.
